Currently LinQR integration is only available in private (beta) mode. You can connect to it here. After accepting the invitation, LinQR should be available on the integration list which you can see during Zap configuration.
We are currently developing a solution that allows you to connect to our servers directly, bypassing RapidAPI proxy. This will speed up the operation and increase the reliability of our services. When we complete this task, the integration will leave the beta phase and will be publicly available in the Zapier ecosystem.
At the moment, the only possible connection method is RapidAPI and you should choose this connection method. RapidAPI marketplace is a place where you can access many REST APIs. LinQR is one of them. Technically, RapidAPI proxy is intermediate layer between the LinQR infrastructure and your Zap. RapidAPI also bills the use of our service.
We are currently developing a direct-to-LinQR connection method. This connection method will be the preferred one in the future. Stay tuned and follow us on Twitter!
In order to obtain a key, you must register with RapidAPI and subscribe to LinQR. You can even choose the free BASIC plan, in order to user LinQR Zapier integration. For higher, paid subscription plans without hard limit of generated QR Codes number, you may need to connect your payment method.
For more information, you can watch our video tutorial on YouTube. You can also refer to the RapidAPI quick start guide.
A QR Code consists of elements that allow the scanner app to read it correctly. At LinQR we call them:
Name | Module | Inner Eyes | Outer Eyes |
---|---|---|---|
arrow | |||
circle | |||
classic | |||
cushion | |||
default | |||
diamond | |||
dots | |||
heart | |||
heavyround | |||
horizontal_lines | |||
leaf | |||
left_eye | |||
lightround | |||
right_eye | |||
sharp | |||
shield | |||
sieve | |||
star | |||
vertical_lines |
The QR Codes generated with LinQR are valid forever. Others may call them Static QR Codes. The data that you want to save in your QR Code is placed there unchanged.
Let's assume it will be the URL of your website. If the user scans this Code, he is redirected directly to your website. LinQR has no way of making the Code stop working. There is also no limit to the number of times a Code can be scanned. Additionally, such Codes run faster as no proxy is involved in the redirection.
Other sites may offer you so-called Dynamic QR Codes, which may have a limited lifetime or a number of scans. If you want to put your website URL on the Code, the generated QR will contain the address to the proxy server. In turn, the proxy will redirect the user to the destination page.
In this way, the provider can stop the QR Code from working by blocking the redirect on the proxy server. Additionally, redirected traffic can be monitored. Such codes, however, most often have the ability to change the destination address or obtain traffic statistics. However, this makes the codes slower: with each redirect, a certain sequence of operations that take some time must be performed.
We have created this solution and we want it to be useful for you. So we're mainly here to help. You can always contact us and ask a question. We will try to answer as soon as possible. Unless, of course, we find an answer.
